Find out how Van Johnson came up with this dope new clothing line called ChicaGorilla…
ChicaGorilla is a clothing brand created by Van Johnson of Black In Chicago. Van has been part of the 9Mag family alongside Ryan Henry. What we like about Van’s ChicaGorilla clothing line is that he keeps it street worthy. The brand logo is tight, and the style a classic East Coast feel with a image that says it all.
The image of the Gorilla is strong, the face displays strength and struggle and the power to overcome anything. Gorilla’s are our favorite and we are loving the shirts, hoodies and belts.
“We live in one of the toughest cities in the world, Chicago. It’s hard to make it here. It is a JUNGLE. Chicago represents the Jungle. The Gorilla is one of the most dominant animals in the jungle and it takes care of its young; everyone who’s apart of the project has children we are raising. We know first hand how hard it is to raise a child in Chicago. The Gorilla is very similar to how a man handles business to any degree necessary, to take care of his family. Thus, Chicagorilla was born!”
He is doing this for his daughter and to expand his brand outside of tattooing. Van is taking the world into his own hand and making his dreams become a reality. The clothing line is available online a ChicaGorilla.com – the official launch is July 16, 2017. Van took to Instagram to announce the grand opening:
“It’s been a very stressful yet successful journey with this brand going public this Sunday July 16th.”
He makes sure to thank everyone, saying:
“HANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT’S BEEN HELPING ON A DAILY, YOUR EFFORTS DEFINITELY DON’T GO UNNOTICED, I LOVE YOU ALL AND WE WILL SEE YOU SUN… LINK IN BIO TO RSVP #CHICAGORILLA”
